Bengaluru FC defeated NorthEast United FC by 4-2

Bengaluru FC started their ISL 2021-22 campaign in style as they got the better of NorthEast United 4-2 on Saturday, at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim, Goa. The majority of the action happened in the first half of the match, where as many as five goals were scored by both teams. Bengaluru FC began their Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 season with a victory as they pipped last season’s semi-finalists NorthEast United FC 4-2 at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim, Goa on Saturday. Five out of the six goals came during a frantic first half that saw Bengaluru FC thrice take the lead firstly through Cleiton Silva (14’), then through a Mashoor Shereef own goal (22’) and finally via Jayesh Rane (42’) after NorthEast United had equalised twice thanks to goals from Deshorn Brown (17’) and Mathias Coureur (25’). FC Goa beat Bengaluru FC by 2:1 in a pre-season friendly match

  Bengaluru FC lost the pre-season friendly match against FC Goa by 1:2 played on 6th November. Sunil Chhetri was on target for the Bengaluru FC. Leander D'Cunha and Alberto Noguera found the back of the net for the FC Goa.  The Durand Cup champions have previously played a friendly against I-League Champions Gokulam Kerala FC which ended in a goalless draw. On the other hand, Bengaluru FC started off their preseason games with a 2-3 loss against Chennaiyin FC.

Bengaluru FC Academy teams to take part in the 2021-22 KSFA Youth Premier League

  As many as nine Bengaluru FC teams across four age groups are set to take part in the 2021-22 KSFA Youth Premier League, the club announced on Saturday. The tournament, which kicked off at the BFS earlier this week, will see the Blues register their BFC Soccer Schools Elite teams and Academy teams (both residential and non-residential), in a bid to provide competitive matches across our Youth Development Program. Four teams from the BFC Soccer Schools Elite program will take part in the competition – at the U8, U10, U12 and U14 level – while five more will take part from the residential and non-residential BFC Academies (U8, U10, U12 and U14). In action early on Sunday morning at the Bangalore Football Stadium will be the BFC Soccer Schools U12 team, led by Praveen Raman, who take on Raman Sports Academy.
