Senior Women football championship: Kerala women’s football team registered their first win after defeating Uttarakhand

Kozhikode: National Senior Women football championship Kerala women’s football team registered their first win in the after defeating Uttarakhand bu 3-1.  

Kerala took lead in the 44th minute through Vineetha until Bhagavathy scored the equalizer for Uttarakhand in the 52nd minute of the game.

Kerala managed to break the deadlock in the 75-minute through a well-composed finish from Manasa. Failure on the part of Uttarakhand in closing down the high pressing football of Kerala took the game right out of their hands. Kerala went on to finish the game in their favour after Femina scored the third goal of the match in 86 minutes.    

Vineetha Vijayan(44'), Manasa K(75'), and Femina Rag Vallapil(86') managed to score three goals for Kerala, were as Bhagavathy Chauhan(52') scored for Uttarkhand.
