Bengaluru FC Academy teams to take part in the 2021-22 KSFA Youth Premier League

As many as nine Bengaluru FC teams across four age groups are set to take part in the 2021-22 KSFA Youth Premier League, the club announced on Saturday. The tournament, which kicked off at the BFS earlier this week, will see the Blues register their BFC Soccer Schools Elite teams and Academy teams (both residential and non-residential), in a bid to provide competitive matches across our Youth Development Program.

Four teams from the BFC Soccer Schools Elite program will take part in the competition – at the U8, U10, U12 and U14 level – while five more will take part from the residential and non-residential BFC Academies (U8, U10, U12 and U14).

In action early on Sunday morning at the Bangalore Football Stadium will be the BFC Soccer Schools U12 team, led by Praveen Raman, who take on Raman Sports Academy. Later, the BFC U12 Academy will take on Roots Football Schools at 9 am. The third Bengaluru FC side in action on Sunday will be the Academy U14s, who take on Boca Juniors Blues at the RBANMS-SUFC ground at 1 pm.

The Bengaluru FC Academy sides had completed a clean-sweep of the KSFA Youth Premier League last season, securing top honours in the U8, U10 and U12 categories, with several players making the step up from the non-residential teams to the Blues’ Residential Academy setup in Bellary.

The KSFA Youth Premier League represents consistent competitive action for our Academy and BFC Soccer Schools teams, which is in line with the club’s vision for Youth Development and the Player Development Pathway.
