The 24-year-old goalkeeper
returns to the Mumbaikars after a loan spell in the 2016 ISL. He made six
appearances, keeping five clean sheets as Mumbai City topped the league phase,
only to be knocked out by eventual winners Atletico de Kolkata in the
semi-finals after a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.
Amrinder Singh is a product
of the Pune FC academy, he made his first foray into the ISL with Atletico de
Kolkata in 2015 where six clean sheets then earned him a bigger I-League
contract with Bengaluru FC, initially on loan in 2016. He made that move
permanent at the end of a successful 2016 I-League season with Singh being
adjudged the best goalkeeper, keeping nine clean sheets. The Punjab-born also
started the 2016 AFC Cup final against Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya as Bengaluru FC ended
runners-up, losing to the Iraqi club 1-0.
