Indian National Football Team will play friendly matches against Lebanon and Palestine
As part of preparations for
the 2019
AFC Asian Cup qualifiers Indian
national football team will play friendly matches against West Asian nations,
Lebanon and Palestine later this year. After winning the both matches played in this
year 2017 AIFF is planning to provide the best of preparation for the National
Team.
India will play Lebanon on June 7th before the home match against Kyrgyz Republic on 13 June, 2017(2nd match in 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers). And will clash with Palestine on October 2nd before the home match against Macau on 10 October 2017(4th match in 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers).
Both the countries are
ranked below India with Lebanon at 155th spot while Palestine are 134th, just
two spots below. As such, Blue Tigers can expect a couple of tough games from
the two opponents. The venue for the matches will be decided later.
India is expect move further
in FIFA ranking after beating
Cambodia in their home and gaining the crucial 3 point in the away match
against Myanmar in AFC Asian Cup qualification. India now having 331 point
which will help to reach near 100 in FIFA ranking.
