Prior to that, Brazil will play a practice game
against New Zealand on September 28 at the Andheri Sports Complex to get used
to the conditions. As per reports, the Brazilian team will undergo training at
the Mumbai Football Arena in suburban Andheri in the evening.
All eyes will be on
Flamengo sensation Vinicius Junior who has signed a blockbuster deal with
reigning Spanish La Liga champions Real Madrid in the summer. The move has made
Junior the second most expensive signing from Brazil after Neymar, who had
moved from Santos to Barcelona in 2013.
Junior had seen interest from numerous
European clubs – as is the norm for youngsters from South America – including
Barcelona but he eventually chose to join their arch rivals. He will only join
his teammates a week before Brazil takes on Spain on October 7.
