The Indian Super League is going to expand with three new teams
The current there
are eight participants of the Indian Super League are Kerala Blasters FC, Atletico
de Kolkata, Mumbai City FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City, NorthEast
United FC and Chennaiyin FC. Indian Super League (ISL) has opened its doors for
expansion to a maximum of three new sides from the forthcoming season, so there
will be 11 teams in ISL. Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the organizers of
the ISL on Thursday announced that they would be floating the tender through
'Invitation To Bid’ (ITB), which will be made available from 12th May 2017
until 24th May 2017. The Bid documents are to be submitted on
Thursday, 25th May 2017.

The bids
will be accepted for new teams based out of ten cities viz. Ahmedabad,
Bengaluru, Cuttack, Durgapur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Siliguri
and Thiruvananthapuram.
For the 2017-18
season, the leagues will run from November to March which will be followed by a
Super Cup. The calendar will be made in a way so as to ensure that the Indian
national team gets to play matches on FIFA days and also are given enough time
to prepare for competitive fixtures.
