U-17 World Cup 2017: India football team Colts will practice in Europe




           For the preparation of U-17 World Cup, Indian U17 team left for an exposure tour to Europe. Under the command of new head coach Luis Norton de Matos 26-member squad will be playing a series of practice matches in Portugal, France, Italy and Hungary and a tournament in Italy.

The Colts will first fly to Lisbon and where they will play practicematches against U-17 Youth Teams of leading Portuguese Clubs including the likes of Sporting Lison, Benfica, Estoril, and Setubal till May 15, 2017. Then the team will fly to Paris to play practice match against PSG U-17 Team. Indian U-17 National Team’s schedule for the practice matches in Portugal

The Team also has confirmed matches against Hungary U-17 and matches against Spanish Clubs during their tour to Spain. Later team will fly to Rome where they will play match against the Italian U-17 National Team and also participate in Lazio Cup. Indian U17 team create history by beating Italy U17 team by 2 : 0

16 teams will be participating Lazio Cup. This tournament may include teams from, Albania U-17, Colombia U-17, a Team from CAF Canadian selection, and club teams like Fiorentina, Lazio, Sampdoria, Cagliari, Pescara, Serie B Italia, Serie C Italia and 4 local teams. This will be good exposure for the Indian team to understand them self and how to play against much stronger side.England and Germany booked tickets for U-17 World Cup.
